Dr. Colleen Holewa is a dual degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeon, first obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine followed by her Medical degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She then went on to complete a general surgery internship followed by an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of North Carolina in 2021. During residency, she trained in broad scope oral and maxillofacial surgery and now has a special interest in corrective jaw surgery, benign pathology and dental implants. Dr. Holewa is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is affiliated with the American Medical Association and American Dental Association. In addition, she is board certified in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Holewa takes pride in providing the highest level of safety and care to her patients. She has extensive training in office-based anesthesia and often takes continuing education classes to further her knowledge on the latest advancements in procedures and techniques. She has extensive knowledge in regards to pain control and anxiety reducing strategies.
Dr. Holewa enjoys yoga, reading and jogging. On the weekend, she loves taking her golden retriever on walks and exploring new areas. She is up for trying any new local coffee spot and loves a good bakery shop.
